Senior Claims Adjuster

Responsibilities

• Managing claim files on behalf of clients for claims service business operations.
• Handling and supervision of complex and litigated claims with authority for settlement.
• Responsible for the investigation of coverage, liability, and damages.
• Negotiating with claimants, attorneys, and other insurance carriers throughout the life of a claim.
• Review lawsuits and formulate a plan of action with the assigned attorney.
• Monitor progress and keep the insured informed.
• Ensure all information is documented in the claim file.
• Communicate with clients to discuss claims and recommend strategies to reduce overall exposure.

• Four years general claims experience OR eight years general insurance experience.
• Must obtain AIC Designation and State License.
• Manual dexterity, arm, and upper body range of motion sufficient for use of a keyboard, mouse, and telephone on a constant basis for at least 7-10 hours per day.
• Speech and hearing are sufficient for in-person and telephone communication on a constant basis for at least 7-10 hours per day.
• Vision sufficient for the use of a computer monitor.
• Ability to sit at a desk on a constant basis for at least 7-10 hours per day.
