General Facilities Maintenance Technician – Walmart Stores

• Food Equipment – combi ovens, deli slicers, auto meat cutters, fryers, hot cases, ice makers, pizza ovens, rotisserie ovens, thermoglazers, donut cases, four‑bowl warmers, bakery ovens, bread slicers, tortilla makers
• Grease and Oil Systems – oil/water separators, used cooking oil tanks

• Efficiency – Reduce maintenance and repair expenses through effective preventative maintenance and timely repairs
• Safety – Ensure safety and proper functionality of all serviced equipment
• Training – Store Associates are well‑trained in equipment care and cleaning, reducing misuse and damage
• Documentation – Accurate and timely completion of work orders and maintenance logs
• Customer Satisfaction – High levels of customer service and operational efficiency in Walmart stores
• Food Safety – Understand and limit the risk of cross contamination in food production areas

Execute routine maintenance tasks to uphold the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of Walmart stores, equipment, or fixtures. Operate under the supervision of the local General Maintenance Manager, adhere to established maintenance schedules and guidelines, conduct inspections, cleaning, and repairs.

• 18 years or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
• Move up and down ladders frequently
• Comfortable working at heights frequently
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
• Able to work in various temperatures
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report
• Vocational or technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience, in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment) and hand/power tools
• Use the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders, support stores and store associates, and document repair activities
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely
