We’re seeking an experienced Senior Corporate Accountant to join our dynamic team in Trevose, PA and play a key role in our financial operations. This position is onsite, reporting 5 days in office and reporting to the Accounting Manager.
Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Corporate Accountant with a strong understanding of accounting principles. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting functions, including managing general ledger entries, assisting with audits, identifying process improvements, managing risks, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in accounting, strong analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities & Duties- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring they are accurately stated and reconciled to the general ledger.
- Oversee general ledger entries, reconciliations, and month‑end/year‑end closings.
- Support internal and external audits by providing requested financial documents.
- Assist with tax preparation and filings as needed.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and automate manual processes.
- Offer insights and strategies to mitigate financial risks and enhance accounting practices.
- Handle ad hoc accounting projects as assigned.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to streamline processes and improve financial reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in the manufacturing/distribution industry, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting role.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software; SAP Business One experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables).
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- A self‑starter with strategic thinking abilities and the capacity to function in a fast‑paced, evolving business environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
