DESCRIPTION OF WORKThis role provides essential clerical and customer support that helps the Southcentral District Office carry out its public health mission. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Call Handling:
Answer calls, provide information, and direct inquiries using Department of Health procedures - Clerical Support:
Support staff during clinics, investigations, and community health events - Record Maintenance:
Maintain literature collections, bulletin boards, and health center materials - Data Entry:
Enter records into PIERS and prepare clinic activity reports with accuracy - Supply Management:
Coordinate inventory and order supplies to keep clinic operations running - Emergency Response:
Assist with essential functions or emergency duties during public health events

Work Schedule and Additional Information:- Full time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework:
You will not have the option to telework in this position. - Salary:
Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,831 (before taxes). - You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. - Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (C ommonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- You must pass a background investigation.
