Construction Project Sales Manager – Pittsburgh, PA – Remote/Field Based
Location: Pittsburgh, PA – Remote/Field Based (60% travel)
Role Overview: As a Construction Project Sales Manager you will be part of the Commercial Field Sales team. You will champion SBD engagement at large construction projects, build relationships with end users, contractors, and subcontractors, and drive sales through value‑added solutions throughout the construction lifecycle.
Responsibilities- Lead SBD’s involvement in major North American construction projects from pre‑construction through project closeout.
- Build and maintain direct relationships with end users, contractors, and subcontractors; advocate SBD’s solutions.
- Promote and implement SBD’s value‑added products and services, customizing solutions to maximize project efficiency, safety, and profitability.
- Oversee SBD’s contributions at all construction phases, coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely product delivery and problem resolution.
- Develop and execute comprehensive engagement plans, aligning SBD resources to project milestones and customer requirements.
- Identify new opportunities for SBD to add value, streamline procedures, and enhance customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project progress, manage budgets, and provide regular updates to leadership on SBD’s impact and project metrics.
- Bachelor’s Degree (Business Management, Engineering preferred). 10+ years in sales, marketing, or related field.
- OSHA 10 & OSHA 30 certifications preferred.
- Proven construction project management experience preferred.
- Must have ability to build relationships and work effectively with all levels of an organization; influence strategy and create procedures and protocols.
- Skilled at building and aligning a team to the overall strategic plan of the group; hold yourself accountable for failures while giving credit to your team for successes.
- Ability to collaborate with appropriate internal team members to resolve problems with end users in your region.
- Travel 60% of the time.
- Proficient computer skills including MS Office Suite, SAP, and use of a smartphone.
Total target cash compensation range: $ – $ (base salary plus target variable cash compensation). Eligible for a sales incentive plan or commission.
