Teacher Assistant - Landenberg School

About the Position

Devereux Day Academy in Landenberg, PA seeks a Teacher Assistant to provide direct behavioral intervention to students.

• Ensure student safety.
• Assist in establishing classroom environments conducive to maximum learning by maintaining structure and guiding students to socially appropriate behaviors.
• Work with the Special Education Teachers to implement skill acquisition and behavioral reduction programs individually and in small groups.
• Perform ongoing data collection and record keeping as directed by the Special Education Teacher.
• Support and reinforce PBIS goals and objectives.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree required;
  Bachelor’s in Special Education preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and/or behavior disorders.
• Must be 21 years old.
• Valid driver's license must be maintained.

• Schedule:
  
  Monday – Friday, 8am – 4pm.
• Pay Rate: $41,600–$47,424 annually (based on experience).
