TITLE: Academic/Title I Educational Assistant REVISED 10/07/25
10:15 am - 3:45 pm (181 days per school year) APPROVED 10/27/25
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Minimum two (2) years post-secondary (48 credits), Associate Degree, or passing score on the Title I Paraprofessional Assessment test administered through I.U.5.
JOB GOAL: Support the delivery of the educational program to students.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with individual or small groups of students, reinforcing instruction as directed by the teacher.
- Support students completing classroom assignments, homework, and projects.
- Assist teacher with routine detailed or clerical duties.
- Prepare reports and documentation as required.
- Follow established procedures to ensure a safe learning environment.
- Monitor student behavior in support of the school's Title 1 plan.
- Report progress regarding student performance and behavior.
- Support school operations by assisting with front door security, phones, mailings, filing, attendance, document preparation, library and/or computer data entry.
- Perform a variety of clerical duties in support of school activities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Work year and salary in accordance with the General Teamsters Local Union No. 397 Collective Bargaining Agreement.
EVALUATION: Performance to be evaluated annually by the Building Principal.
