Program Director - Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS)
Job Type: Full- time/Hybrid

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Program Director to lead our Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) program. This role oversees curriculum development, faculty supervision, student success, and compliance with accreditation standards, ensuring delivery of high-quality education and preparation of students for successful careers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage overall program operations, including curriculum, faculty, resources, student advising, externship placement, and graduate outcomes.
- Ensure program meets accreditation (CAAHEP, JRC-DMS) and institutional standards.
- Lead faculty recruitment, supervision, and professional development; conduct evaluations and classroom observations.
- Collaborate with advisory boards, clinical partners, and stakeholders to maintain curriculum relevance.
- Oversee externship programs: site development, student preparation, monitoring, and site visits.
- Track and report student outcomes, including retention, certification/licensure pass rates, and job placement.
- Support students through advising, tutoring, and mentorship.
- Manage program resources, budgets, and schedules in coordination with administration.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field; graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited DMS program.
- Credentialed by ARDMS in Abdomen (AB) and Obstetrics/Gynecology (OB/GYN).
- 3+ years full-time clinical experience as a sonographer or 8+ years relevant experience.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; ability to learn educational platforms (Blackboard, Trajecsys).
- Teaching experience in DMS or related field.
- Experience with curriculum development, assessment, and program evaluation.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 lbs, and travel to externship sites as needed.
