Strong Spas is seeking an experienced and proactive Human Resources Manager to lead and support all aspects of our HR function. This role is responsible for planning, implementing, and managing HR policies and programs that support the company’s workforce and operational goals. You’ll work closely with all departments to meet hiring needs, ensure legal compliance, foster a positive workplace culture, and drive continuous improvement in employee relations.
Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and administer HR policies and procedures in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Ensure compliance with legal reporting requirements related to employment and benefits.
- Maintain accurate records of benefits participation, personnel actions (e.g., hiring, promotions, transfers, terminations), performance reviews, and government-mandated employee statistics.
- Conduct management training on interviewing, hiring, disciplinary actions, promotions, performance evaluations, safety practices, and workplace harassment.
- Oversee the investigation and resolution of employee relations concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding company policies, procedures, and HR programs.
- Manage the company’s performance review process to ensure fairness, consistency, and compliance.
- Administer the salary structure and compensation programs to maintain internal equity and external competitiveness.
- Investigate workplace accidents and prepare necessary documentation for insurance carriers.
- Conduct regular wage surveys to benchmark competitive compensation rates in the labor market.
- Handle all aspects of employee separations, including preparing separation notices and conducting exit interviews.
- Analyze trends in absenteeism and turnover; recommend and implement solutions for improvement.
- Represent the company in hearings, audits, and investigations related to HR matters.
- Coordinate with external vendors for services such as employee transportation, canteen services, and relocation support.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s or HR certification preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- In-depth knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust at all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Experience managing employee relations, investigations, and disciplinary procedures.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
