About the role
Data Scientist, client‐facing role focused on fraud detection. Leverage thousands of data points from Lexis Nexis Risk Solutions’ products on the Dynamic Decision Platform to optimize models, suggest new tools, and deliver evidence‑based solutions for clients.
Responsibilities- Use and suggest new tools and scripts on the Dynamic Decision Platform to optimize models and policies using data from Threat Metrix Digital Identity Network and other Lexis Nexis products.
- Scope, plan, and deliver customer‑focused projects, including proof of value, proactive analytics, go‑lives, optimizations, and custom models.
- Inspire and lead research that improves team capabilities, such as designing genetic algorithms, feature engineering over cellphone sensor data, and network analysis of the UK banking industry.
- Present complex patterns and model insights clearly to non‑technical audiences, including executives.
- Develop and maintain strong best practices that scale and streamline deliverables.
- Collaborate with Lexis Nexis Risk Solutions teams—Products, Engineering, Sales—and internal teams to share and refine best practices.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, Excel, and LUA with quantitative analysis skills.
- Experience with Git and Jira for guiding and scoping research projects.
- Ability to quickly learn new tools, such as BI platforms (Super Set, PowerBI, Snowflake, CoPilot, Jupyter).
- Deep curiosity, strong problem‑solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to craft a data story and deliver impactful presentations to external and executive audiences.
- Extensive knowledge of cybercrime; SME status across industries including Financial Services, E‑commerce, Gaming, and Telecommunications.
- Multi‑tasking, prioritization, and adaptability in a fast‑paced, changing environment.

- U.S. National Base Pay Range: $115,400 - $192,300. Geographic differentials may apply.
