Job Details
Maintain network databases, office automation, and research projects. Accumulate and structure all transplant data and information requests from UNOS, physicians, and other outside sources. Provide technical support with computer applications, hardware, software, and database management for the Jefferson Transplant Institute.
Essential Functions- Interact with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
- Maintain network database functions using Microsoft Access software for the Jefferson Transplant Institute.
- Collect weekly, quarterly and annual statistics for reporting to the department administrator.
- Prepare and update written end user procedures and protocols under the direction of the Regional Transplant QAPI Data Manager.
- Maintain the integrity of the transplant databases and periodically audit them for accuracy.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software problems that occur within the Jefferson Transplant Institute.
- Design and develop reports to improve quality assurance and improvement and to satisfy clinical requests for information by physicians, transplant coordinators and administration.
- Revise data collection forms for optimal automation as necessary.
- Assist with data entry into Jefferson Transplant Institute databases and ensure timely submission of UNOS required forms and requests for information.
- Assist the Regional Transplant QAPI Data Manager with staff and physician training of database applications.
- Assist the Regional Transplant QAPI Data Manager with implementation of data collection processes and data conversions as needed.
- Epic Reporting Workbench, Qlik, Microsoft Excel and Access skills required.
- Similar database skillsets may be accepted in lieu of outlined experience.
- Education:
Associate’s degree in health technology or Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required. - Experience:
1-2 years of relevant experience.
