Data Analytics Manager (Clinical)
Responsibilities
- Accountable for data product delivery in a GxP-regulated environment using Microsoft Fabric / Power BI for Clinical Development Operations and PMO functions.
- Engage and manage business and IT stakeholders through requirements gathering, delivery, and testing; negotiate scope, cost, timeline, and changes.
- Design technical solutions based on business requirements aligned with IT architecture standards and processes.
- Lead technical project delivery teams of data/BI engineers (assign work, track progress, provide technical guidance).
- Work with clinical stakeholders to define data strategy including architecture, data governance, and KPIs.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management; explain complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience designing and governing enterprise-scale lakehouse architectures (medallion pattern, dimensional modeling, RBAC, data lineage, performance optimization) in Microsoft Fabric or comparable cloud platforms.
- Manage complex projects with tight deadlines, budget constraints, and cross-team dependencies.
- Manage distributed global teams across time zones (vendor management, contract oversight, code review, capacity planning, performance management).
- Experience with life sciences clinical data systems/providers (CTMS, EDC, CROs) and analytics tied to RBQM, operational trial performance, study startup, site performance monitoring.
- GxP experience in data engineering/analytics (computer system validation, data integrity, audits, 21 CFR Part 11).
- 10+ years of experience with increasing responsibility.
- Veeva Development Cloud (CTMS, CDB, eTMF, Open Data), Planisware, CRO data (IQVIA, ICON), or similar clinical systems.
- Hands-on Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, PySpark, and/or Power BI.
- Hands-on Azure Dev Ops, Git Hub, CI/CD, AI-assisted code generation tools.
- Prior people management experience.
Hybrid: in office 4 days/week in Chadds Ford, PA and/or Wilmington, DE.
