Platform Strategy Manager

Join our platform strategy team at Autodesk where you will impact developing a platform strategy while supporting execution through prioritizing and developing strategy for initiatives, identifying and evaluating M&A targets and supporting cross‑functional strategy for technology partnerships. You will report to the Director, Platform Strategy and support platform strategy initiatives across multiple teams within the platform organization and/or across Autodesk. Your work will inform business direction for our global platform transformation by influencing sound business strategies that impact platform efforts across all industry verticals.

Candidates must be willing to travel to the San Francisco office or other Autodesk locations quarterly or up to monthly.

• Support hypothesis generation for complex initiatives and develop high‑quality (MECE) hypothesis trees.
• Develop and update work plans.
• Define and execute customer, competitive, and market research.
• Analyze financials and build financial models.
• Develop and execute analytical approaches to prove out hypotheses, including interviews, surveys, and data analysis.
• Develop realistic, value‑adding and implementable recommendations, merging strategic, organizational, technological and cultural requirements.
• Structure presentations of Director/Sr Director level quality, focusing on creating impact.
• Build trusted working relationships at the Director/Sr Director level across the organization.
• Work with research/analytical teams to influence relevant analysis and insights that inform platform strategy initiatives.

• 5+ years of related experience.
• 1+ years of strategy consulting experience at leading firms with high skills training rigor.
• Strategy work in the tech industry, ideally software/SaaS.
• Relevant technology fluency.
• Engineering degree or demonstrated interest or experience in computer/information technology spaces.

• M&A due diligence experience.
• Experience creating a 3‑5 year horizon strategy for horizontal technologies such as Data, AI/ML, Insights, Developer, Trust, Visualization, and other cross‑industry vertical capabilities.
• Ability to support the strategic evolution of Autodesk products into workflow‑centric cloud‑based experiences.
• Skill in incorporating technology and architectural trends into a long‑term strategy by aligning with technology and research leaders.
• Experience building a long‑term strategy for a developer ecosystem monetization to accelerate growth and adoption of product offerings and create additional revenue streams.

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.‑based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $103,000 and $183,920. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
