The Information Technology (IT) Technical Support Officer role provides technology support to Secondary Colleges in the Cairns region. The position will be based at Newman Catholic College Smithfield and St Monica's College Cairns.

The role requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear, patient, and professional user assistance and mentorship, particularly to non-technical users.

Responsibilities include day to day service desk support for staff and students, along with support to other equipment such as AV, printers and other collaborative technologies.

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional approach
• Experience or aptitude in supporting Information Technology systems
• High interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage routine and reactive tasks
• Professional presentation suitable for a front-facing support role
• A willingness to learn and work collaboratively within a technical support team

• Hold a Working with Children Blue Card
• Be fully supportive of the ethos of Catholic Education
• Current valid driver's licence (travel to school sites is required)

• A full time role within a supportive and experienced technical support team
• Ongoing mentoring and guidance from a Team of experienced IT professionals.
• Exposure to a diverse range of technologies in the head office and school-based environments
