- Coordinate with underwriters, brokers, and clients to gather necessary information and documents
- Maintain accurate records of underwriting decisions, policy changes, and client interactions in the employer’s database
- Assist in the development and implementation of underwriting operations policies and procedures
- Provide training and guidance to junior staff on operational tasks and best practices
- Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management or Business with a minimum of 2 years of experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge of underwriting operations and data management
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills and time management abilities
- Adaptability and leadership qualities
- Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Commercial Underwriting (AU), Certified Insurance Service Representation (CISR), or Associate in Insurance Data Management (AIDM) certification
