This role supports the distribution strategy for Five Below, overseeing the ship centers network and supply chain operations. The VP will ensure product flow, inventory control, and financial performance across retail and e‑commerce channels.
Strategic Leadership- Partner with Supply Chain and business leaders to develop key distribution plans and strategies.
- Identify solutions to leverage existing facilities and drive operational improvements throughout the end‑to‑end supply chain.
- Lead with an enterprise mindset to optimize product flow while balancing business trade‑offs for service, cost, and quality.
- Develop the annual budget and forecasting processes.
- Identify opportunities to optimize operations and reduce waste to achieve year‑over‑year productivity improvements.
- Partner with local site leadership to develop consistent plans that deliver against key service initiatives.
- Maintain cost controls for all ship center budget components to meet or exceed financial targets.
- Develop peak season product flow plans in partnership with merchandising, inventory management, and stores.
- Optimize product flow from ship centers to stores to drive network efficiency and meet product set targets.
- Partner with local site leadership to build a culture that balances accountability and fun, driving results.
- Develop key supply chain talent in line with long‑term succession planning goals.
- Establish a safety and compliance culture to meet best‑in‑class targets.
- Serve as the single point of contact for ship centers, representing the end‑to‑end supply chain.
- Provide key updates to supply chain leadership, cross‑functional partners, and executive leadership.
- Partner with leaders across the organization to roll out technological solutions that improve processes.
- Communicate proactively to influence and enable planning.
- 15+ years of experience in a retail supply chain environment, managing multiple facilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or a related field.
- Experience executing supply chain strategy, network design, and achieving financial goals in a high‑growth retail environment.
- Proven project management acumen with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and on budget.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Proven ability to build high‑performing teams with clear succession planning.
- Understanding and experience with the robotics and AI marketplace to lead strategic investments.
- Ability to travel to facilities on a routine basis.
