The Safety Manager serves as CATA’s Chief Safety Officer, overseeing safety programs for the entire authority and ensuring compliance with federal regulations while promoting safety as a core value across CATA.
Key Responsibilities- Bachelor’s degree in workplace/occupations safety and five (5) years of relevant experience preferred. Education may be substituted for ten (10) or more years of relevant experience in similar safety programs.
- A valid state driver’s license is required.
- This is a safety‑sensitive position, subject to 49 Code of Federal Regulations, Part 655, related to drug and alcohol misuse, with high visibility and responsibility involving the operation of CATA’s vehicles.
The starting salary range is $73,723.83 – $83,500, commensurate with experience.
