Works in a team with the Shift Supervisor on the floor to assist with equipment set-up, material preparation, material management in Epicor, transportation and palletizing of finished product, and warehouse organization to maximize equipment operation as directed by the Supervisor and/or Management.

• Assist with “Line Clearances” on the machine for job changes and set up necessary auxiliary equipment.
• Manage press resin inventory by maintaining color feeders and weigh blenders with resin colorants and additives to prevent stockouts.
• Use the traveler to ensure proper resin mixtures, add color concentrate and additives as needed, clean the mixing bin, calculate resin ratios, mix material and regrind as appropriate using the material loading system.
• Ensure machines are loaded with material according to production schedules and replace material as needed.
• Assist Inspectors and Packers with material preparation and provide relief during breaks as needed.
• Clean warehouse areas including the mezzanine, supply areas, oil/water spills, and equipment.
• Complete scanning of material at shift start and during material movement.
• Transport, palletize, and wrap finished product as necessary.
• Assist the shipping department with loading and unloading trucks where applicable.
• Operate the central load system.
• Complete forklift inspections each shift and maintain forklift battery water levels as needed.
• Empty trash cans (including breakroom) and remove debris in the warehouse at the end of the shift.
• Complete the material mix form when mixing material.
• Support the QMS by adhering to system requirements.
• Understand and follow plant safety rules; identify and address safety hazards or concerns.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Keep a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Report any problems or concerns to the direct Supervisor.
• Maintain good working relations with all employees; strive to avoid conflicts.
• Maintain regular attendance during assigned shift hours.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Self-motivated to learn and perform tasks to meet or exceed customer and company expectations.
• Hands-on mechanical inclination.
• 2 to 3 years of material handling or production experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, including forklift experience.
• Ability to work independently and align efforts with shift goals established by the Supervisor.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, as applicable.
