About the Working Families Party
Working Families Party (WFP) is progressive party for the multiracial working class, fighting for a nation that works for the many, not the few. We recruit, train, and support transformational candidates up and down the ballot — and run them to win. We believe that no matter where we come from or what our color, most of us want the same things: to earn enough to thrive, not just survive, and leave a better future for our kids.
We want healthy food and clean water, safe neighborhoods and a safe world. We want to be free.
The Working Families Party is regular people coming together across our differences to make a better future for us all. We’re a multiracial party that fights for workers over bosses and people over the powerful. We want an America that realizes the promise – unrealized in our history – of freedom and equality for all.
The Working Families Party is seeking an Election Captains Organizer to assist in implementing a robust, community‑driven electoral program designed to increase voter turnout and political engagement at the neighborhood level. This role supports the work of the Election Captain Coordinator by helping maintain consistent communication with captains, tracking canvassing progress, and contributing to leadership development through regular training and coaching.
This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about community engagement, eager to support the infrastructure of community organizing, and excels at building rapport with a wide range of individuals.
The Election Captains Organizer will work closely with the Election Captain Coordinator to support hundreds of captains across Pennsylvania. The Organizer will be responsible for conducting outreach and check‑ins with assigned captains, assisting with captain onboarding and training logistics, and monitoring canvassing activity to ensure accurate reporting and participation tracking. This position plays a vital role in the day‑to‑day success of the Election Captains program by ensuring captains feel supported, informed, and motivated to lead voter engagement in their neighborhoods.
