Position Details
LPN - Part‑Time, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with rotating weekends.
Facility & LocationThe Meadows Psychiatric Center is a 119-bed inpatient behavioral health facility with numerous outpatient programs spanning the continuum of care. The 52-acre rural campus is located minutes outside of State College in Central PA.
Responsibilities LPN Role/Responsibilities- The Licensed Practical Nurse is accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis and is responsible for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practice on the unit under the direction of the Nurse Manager or DON.
- The Licensed Practical Nurse facilitates medication administration activities in accordance with safe medication practices, including patient education.
- The Licensed Practical Nurse responds to all crisis/emergency events to direct staff and ensure patient safety.
- Responsible for communicating patient treatment response, emotional and behavioral changes, milieu dynamics and other pertinent information.
- Administers medication under the supervision of Charge RN.
- Contributes to ensuring the environment is safe for both patients and staff members through the use of safety rounds, patient flows, and milieu management techniques.

- Valid Pennsylvania LPN License
- Interest in Psychiatric Nursing
- Previous Psych Nursing experience preferred but not required as we provide on‑the‑job training and education
