Job Overview
Registered Nurse (RN) – Part‑Time. Shift 7:00 am to 7:30 pm with an alternate weekend rotation. The Meadows Psychiatric Center is a 119‑bed inpatient behavioral health facility located minutes outside State College in Central PA, offering comprehensive care from pediatrics to geriatry.
Responsibilities- The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care for all patients on the Child, Adolescent, Stabilization and Adult Units.
- The Registered Nurse prescribes, coordinates and delegates nursing care and oversees unit activities for each shift.
- The Registered Nurse completes nursing assessments and documents patient care and progress each shift.
- Completes the Columbia Suicide Assessment on all new admissions and on any patient with a change in suicide risk level.
- Facilitates medication administration activities in accordance with safe medication practices, including patient education.
- Responds to all crisis or emergency events to direct staff and ensure patient safety.
- Attends Treatment Team meetings to aid in the development of patient care plans.
- Supervises Mental Health Technicians and Licensed Practical Nurses working on the unit.

- Valid Pennsylvania Registered Nursing License or temporary permit to practice.
