Purpose:

The Clinician is a nurse leader who has direct responsibility in the achievement of a culture of excellence and patient care. The Clinician is a highly developed role model of professional nursing practice. Under the general direction of the Unit Director or other department manager, the Clinician will complete and deliver employee evaluations, conduct selection and hiring of staff, and manage the daily performance for a group of direct reports.

The Clinician is responsible for providing service-based education and clinical expertise for staff including orientation and training, consultation on practice issues, and general coordination of clinical activities. Additionally, the Clinician may have shift accountability for delivering nursing care when needed.

** Colorectal and Urology Acute Care Unit
** 8 East is a 23-bed medical-surgical unit that provides care to medical patients and postoperative care for colon-rectal, general surgery, urology, neurosurgery, and ENT patients. The unit is a great fit for graduate nurses and nurses who are seeking to build a solid foundation in med/surg or are seeking to expand knowledge from a diverse patient population. 8 East is a team driven unit providing patient-centered care to patients requiring TPN, wound vac management and ostomies with support from our skilled wound ostomy nurses.

Nurses are trained in foley insertions requiring further intervention and provide support to other departments in managing patients that are difficult to catheterize. 

About the Available Positions:

+ Clinician - RN has a BSN with 3+ years of nursing experience. 

+ Senior Clinician - RN has a BS/BSN, MSN, and 4+ years of nursing experience.

_Title and salary will be determined based on education and nursing experience. _
