Job Overview – RN / LPN (Residential Care)
Compensation: $42 - $56/hour

TAG Med Staffing is hiring an RN / LPN (Residential Care) in Allegheny County, PA for our client, providing direct nursing care to individuals with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities in a residential care setting. The RN / LPN will provide medication administration, clinical assessments, wound care, vital sign monitoring, and coordination of healthcare services across multiple residential homes. Multiple temporary openings are available across day, evening, overnight, and weekend schedules.
Responsibilitiesas the RN / LPN:
- Direct Nursing Care: Provide bedside nursing care, health assessments, vital sign monitoring, wound care, and other clinical services based on individual needs.
- Medication Administration: Administer medications safely and monitor residents for changes in health status or response to treatment.
- Clinical Monitoring: Assess individuals experiencing illness or changes in condition and provide appropriate nursing interventions and follow-up care.
- Care Coordination: Coordinate with physicians, clinics, healthcare providers, and interdisciplinary teams regarding ongoing medical needs and treatment.
- Residential Support: Provide nursing services across residential settings while supporting individuals with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities.
- Clinical Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely medical records in accordance with nursing standards, organizational procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program is required.
- Licensure: Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license is required.
- Experience: 1+ year of current nursing experience is preferred, including experience in intellectual and developmental disabilities, long-term care, home care, hospice, case management, or a related setting.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with residential nursing, medication administration, clinical assessments, wound care, and supporting individuals with developmental or physical disabilities is required.
- Technical
Skills:
Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, email, and electronic documentation, is required. - Skills & Attributes: Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, compassion, adaptability, and ability to provide hands‑on nursing care within a residential environment are required.
