DESCRIPTION OF WORKThis position focuses on coordinating and delivering nursing care for residents while supporting the daily operations of the unit. You ensure that medical needs are met, records are maintained, and communication flows smoothly among staff and residents.
As a Registered PRN Nurse, you will perform the following duties:
- Resident Care:
Assess resident conditions, supervise care, and adjust assignments based on needs - Medical Support:
Assist physicians during rounds, transcribe orders, and ensure treatments are completed - Record Keeping:
Document resident care, update medical records, and maintain medication information - Care Planning:
Develop care plans, coordinate implementation with staff, and revise plans based on resident response - Supply Oversight:
Manage ordering, inventory, and inspection of nursing supplies and equipment - Staff Guidance:
Teach procedures, monitor performance, and provide feedback to help improve nursing care

Work Schedule and Additional Information:- Per Diem employment.
- Work Hours:
As needed, up to 48 hours bi-weekly. - Per Diem employees work shifts as needed (shifts vary) - Flex Schedule - As Needed - PRIMARILY 2ND AND 3RD SHIFT.
- 2nd shift (2:45 PM - 11:15 PM)
- 3rd shift (10:45 PM - 7:15 AM)
- Telework:
You will not have the option to telework in this position. - Salary:
Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting hourly salary of $50.52. - You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.
Special Requirements :
- This position requires active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
- All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- If you are within 60 days of graduating from a school of nursing approved by the State Board of Nursing, you are eligible to apply for this job posting. At the time of appointment to a position, you must show proof of possession of a current, valid PA temporary practice permit or PA Registered Nurse license.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
