Associate Principal Scientist, Discovery Analytical Research

Primary Responsibilities:

• Represent Discovery Analytical Research in project teams; provide technical guidance and drive scientific strategy.
• Develop, implement, and troubleshoot advanced analytical methods (separation-based and biophysical techniques) using automation.
• Solve complex problems and drive innovation in analytical measurement technologies.
• Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams; build partnerships with discovery groups and contribute to organizational goals.
• Mentor and develop junior scientists; promote learning and innovation.
• Ensure high standards of data integrity and documentation.

• Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry (or related field) with 4+ years of biopharmaceutical industry experience.

• Deep expertise in separation techniques for vaccines (UPLC, LC-CAD, CE-SDS, SEC, BCA, Western).
• Strong vaccines biophysical expertise (e.g., DLS, SLS, MFI, DSC, SAXS).
• Automation workflow experience, including liquid handling platforms (Tecan, Bravo, NIMBUS).
• Publications in peer-reviewed journals and conference presentations.
• Excellent verbal/written communication, creativity, and interpersonal skills.
• Deliver complex objectives under challenging timelines; collaborate cross-functionally.

• Electronic laboratory notebook use and good documentation practices.
• Coding/scripting (Python, R) for automation or data analysis.
