JOB SUMMARY

Purchasing Agent

Full time, On Site

Reporting to the Materials Manager and performing the following duties:

• Create and place orders through P21.
• Responsible for placing, confirming and expediting your supplier's orders.
• Ensure timely execution of purchases from Sales request.
• Effectively communicate with multiple stakeholders such as, but not limited to, inside sales, vendors, accounting and Branch Manager.
• File and update Purchase Orders with updated information.
• Become familiar with standard products used and research vendors for cost effectiveness, quality, terms etc.
• Respond to any issues related to invoices, product delivery or shipping
• Help on any projects after all purchasing duties are done.
• Any other purchasing needs as designated by the Materials Manager.

• One to three years related Purchasing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Must be detail oriented to always ensure accurate data.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Proactiveness must have a sense of urgency.
• Positive attitude.
