Installation Technician, Field/Service Technician
Position Overview
This position will coordinate the activities of 1-2‑person field teams for high and ultra‑high purity gas delivery systems and gas piping installation projects. The Field Service Supervisor will perform and monitor installation procedures, supervise workers for safety and performance, ensure adherence to project schedules and customer specifications, and perform hands‑on trade related tasks as needed. The Supervisor interacts with customers, manages and tracks contract adders, processes project documentation, including signoffs, and submits job cost reports.
Project assignments are typically regional, lasting a week up to a month, and require stays away from home for about 60%–80% of the calendar year. When not on assignment, the Field Service Supervisor reports to our headquarters in Malvern, PA and works as a member of our production team, assisting with the manufacture of our gas delivery equipment.
- Coordinate Field Installers to configure, install, and test equipment and pipe layout
- Determine installation procedures, supervise workers for efficient performance in meeting project schedule, ensure good workmanship and proper protocol
- Assist with ordering and obtaining project supplies and materials
- Install gas equipment, piping supports, hangers, and stainless‑steel gas lines
- Orbitally weld stainless steel gas tubing
- Perform analytical testing, system and line validation
- Commission equipment or train customer as needed
- Assemble and move materials and equipment at job site
- Oversee the company’s equipment, tools and vehicles, and repair as needed
- Approve and submit time sheets
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Follow facility, industry, company, and government safety regulations
- Precise attention to detail
- Ability to demonstrate good judgement / problem solving skills
- Ability to read project drawings, specifications, work orders, and procedures
- Possess a customer savvy, energetic, and positive personality
- Strong appreciation for teamwork and collaboration
- Ability to determine and set priorities, ensuring task completion
- Ability to maintain a clean, professional appearance
- Must comply with company and site safety programs
- Ability to travel, including both driving and flying. Job requires stays away from home for approximately 60%–80% of the year
- Electro‑mechanical aptitude
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must have a valid Real Passport
- Must be able to pass on‑going government background checks and drug screenings
- Associates degree preferred
- 3–5 years’ experience in pipe or tube welding, construction, or other hands‑on assembly related background
- Ability to use and safely operate hand and power tools
- Proficiency in measuring and performing basic mathematics
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, twist, squat, climb, work at heights, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout the day for extended periods of time, with or without reasonable accommodation

Salary$45 – $60 per hour
