Automotive Mechanic

This role focuses on maintaining and repairing a wide variety of vehicles, construction equipment, and powered tools to support safe and reliable operations. As an Automotive Mechanic, you will perform the following duties:

• Equipment Repair:
  Perform maintenance and repair work on gasoline and diesel vehicles, trucks, tractors, and construction machinery
• System Diagnostics:
  Carry out mechanical checks and tune-ups, replace parts, and complete repairs on cooling, suspension, electrical, fuel, brake, steering, and driveline systems
• Safety Inspections:
  Conduct official state safety and emissions inspections and complete required records and paperwork
• Field Service:
  Provide emergency roadside service and perform repairs at field locations when necessary
• Parts Management:
  Obtain needed supplies, provide original equipment manufacturer (OEM) information, and maintain accurate equipment records
• Workplace Safety:
  Maintain a safe work area, follow proper procedures, and take proactive steps to prevent accidents

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break
• Travel, overtime, and shift work required. Work hours may change based on seasonal requirements and operational needs
• Telework:
  This position does not allow telework
• Salary:
  New employees start at an annual salary of $49,819.00 (before taxes)

• Four years of experience in the automotive mechanic trade; or completion of an approved apprenticeship; or a combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
• Valid driver’s license not under suspension
• Valid Pennsylvania Class 1 Inspection Mechanic certificate allowing inspection for Class 1 vehicles
• Ability to perform essential job functions
