Position SummaryThe Griff Network is seeking a dependable and mechanically skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to support the installation, startup, preventive maintenance, upkeep, and ongoing reliability of a new large‑scale silicone coating line used to manufacture silicone‑coated release liner materials.
Preventive maintenance experience is a critical requirement for this position. The technician will assist with scheduled preventive maintenance activities, equipment inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, adjustments, and documentation to help minimize downtime and maintain safe, consistent production.
The ideal candidate has hands‑on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment and is comfortable working with production machinery, mechanical components, pumps, motors, bearings, rollers, conveyors, pneumatic systems, and related equipment. Experience supporting coating, laminating, printing, converting, web‑handling, or roll‑to‑roll manufacturing equipment is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities- Perform assigned preventive maintenance tasks on the silicone coating machine and supporting production equipment, including inspections, lubrication, cleaning, adjustments, tightening, and routine replacement of worn components.
- Use the company’s preventive maintenance software or computerized maintenance management system to review assigned work orders, document completed tasks, record equipment conditions, and identify follow‑up maintenance needs.
- Assist the Maintenance Manager and senior maintenance personnel with maintaining preventive maintenance schedules, inspection checklists, service intervals, equipment histories, and maintenance records.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections to identify wear, leaks, vibration, misalignment, unusual noise, temperature concerns, loose components, or other conditions that could affect machine safety, reliability, or performance.
- Troubleshoot and assist with repairs involving motors, pumps, bearings, rollers, shafts, gearboxes, conveyors, pneumatic systems, sensors, switches, and other mechanical or basic electrical components.
- Respond to equipment issues and production interruptions, helping identify the cause of the problem and completing repairs or adjustments within the technician’s level of training and experience.
- Support the installation, commissioning, testing, startup, and ongoing upkeep of the silicone coating machine and related production systems.
- Work closely with machine operators, production leadership, maintenance personnel, equipment manufacturers, and outside service technicians to address equipment concerns and reduce downtime.
- Assist with machine cleaning, setup, changeovers, shutdowns, and production adjustments when technical or maintenance support is required.
- Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, machine guarding, chemical safety, and required Personal Protective Equipment, while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
