Building Maintenance, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
THE POSITION
Do you enjoy hands on work and have experience maintaining and repairing buildings and equipment? The PA Liquor Control Board is seeking a Maintenance Repairman 2 to join our Central Office Maintenance Division at the Northwest Office Building in Harrisburg. This position offers a fast-paced environment where your abilities make a real difference. You will take on many tasks that support the safety, comfort, and reliability of the building.

This role supports the maintenance and upkeep of the Northwest Office Building by performing skilled and semi-skilled tasks across many trades. As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform the following duties:
- General Maintenance:
Perform a wide range of building tasks including painting, masonry, plumbing, electric, and carpentry - HVAC Operation:
Operate and maintain chillers, cooling towers, air conditioning units, and control systems to ensure comfort and energy efficiency - Equipment Inspection:
Check tools, machinery, and mechanical systems for defects and make repairs or adjustments in line with safety standards - Furniture and Fixtures:
Install, repair, and move office furniture, modular systems, partitions, blinds, and window treatments - Emergency Response:
Respond promptly to building maintenance emergencies and participate in fire safety activities as directed

Work Schedule and Additional Information:- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday

- Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.

- You must pass a background investigation. An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code.
