Graduate Assistant Coach - Men's Soccer

Overview

DeSales University is an NCAA Division III member. The Graduate Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach will be responsible for assisting the head coach in practice, planning, game preparation, recruiting responsibilities and other duties as assigned.

This is a two year appointment with full tuition remission for graduate courses (up to 18 credits per academic year), a $6,000 stipend (with on-campus housing) or $9,000 stipend (with no on-campus housing) per year, and on-campus meal plan while undergraduate classes are in session. Graduate assistants are required to pay all lab, graduation, and book fees. In addition, it is essential that graduate assistants have a valid driver's license and a willingness to drive.

• Assist in the overall operating and planning of practice and game competition
• Recruit qualified student-athletes to DeSales University
• Have a thorough understanding of and comply with all department, university, conference and NCAA policies
• Assist in the scouting of opponents
• Assist in the execution and completion of necessary forms and other related work involved in the sport
• Exhibit a sense of loyalty to the head coach and the athletic program
• Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach such as: managing equipment, working with managers, public relations, etc.
• Represent DeSales with dignity, integrity and strength of character and to exhibit ethical behavior

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Acceptance into and continued enrollment in a DeSales University graduate program required
• Collegiate playing experience required
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required
• Goal Keeping experience is preferred, but not required
• Strong communication, interpersonal, & leadership skills preferred
