This role centers on providing safe and dependable transportation services for consumers throughout the county. As a Part-time Van Driver, you will perform the following duties:

• Safe Transport:
  Provide safe, reliable, and courteous transportation for senior adults and wheelchair-dependent individuals
• Vehicle Operation:
  Operate a County vehicle for long-distance daily travel while maintaining a focus on consumer comfort
• Boarding Assistance:
  Assist consumers with boarding, exiting, and navigating uneven or unpaved paths with dignity
• Clear Communication:
  Communicate effectively with consumers, dispatch, and agency staff through direct interaction and radio use
• Technology Use:
  Utilize electronic tablets and other approved tools to access schedules and document services

• Part-time employment (14 to 21+ hours per week)
• Transportation operates 4:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Monday through Friday and limited hours on Saturdays.
• Telework:
  You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year of employment which required operation of a motor vehicle as a regular duty; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

• This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.

• No suspension of driver’s license within the last three years.

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

• A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
• You must pass a background investigation.
• This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
