The Educator, RN assists the manager and/or Education Specialist with planning, development, implementation, and facilitation of education for initial and annual training as well as other educational events. This individual should be strongly grounded in research-based practice and have a strong knowledge of the educational principles and design.

Job Duties:

• Facilitates assigned clinical educational events/skills training of RNs and other clinical professionals, including running, evaluating, and debriefing clinical scenarios developed by Education Specialist.
• Assists manager and/or Education Specialist with planning and development of training for RNs and other clinical professionals as needed.
• Assists with class facilitation, processing paperwork including completion of rubrics, evaluations and outcomes of educational events.
• Assists with educational events/skills set up prior to, breakdown and clean-up after and maintenance of simulators.
• Maintains technical/professional/clinical skills.
• Attends required training for facilitating assigned educational events/skills.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education, Credentials, Licenses:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• If eligible, must have a Compact (multi-state) License in their primary state of residence.
• Current RN license to practice in the state where work is being performed.
• Meets contact hour requirements, including all state-required courses.

Specialized Knowledge:

• Excellent communication skills, be able to work independently and have skill in working and collaborating as part of a team.
• Knowledge of adult education principles.
• Instructional media.
