Our client, a leading aerospace composites manufacturing organization, is seeking a Senior Manager of Business Development to drive growth, customer engagement, and new program opportunities at their Erlanger, Kentucky site. This role serves as a primary interface with key customers, ensuring the company’s advanced composite materials and manufacturing capabilities align with emerging aerospace market needs.
In this role, you’ll drive the growth of advanced composite structures by pursuing new program opportunities, shaping strategic relationships across commercial aerospace and defense customers, and leading program capture from concept through proposal. Acting as the primary customer interface, you will partner closely with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to translate requirements into manufacturable, high-value composite solutions while supporting early design engagement, prototyping efforts, and technical reviews.
The ideal candidate is a strategic and technically savvy business development leader who thrives in fast-paced aerospace environments, knows composite manufacturing, and excels at aligning customer needs with internal capabilities. You will also stay ahead of industry trends, maintain accurate revenue and pipeline forecasts, and provide executive-level insights that influence long-term growth and investment decisions.
Requirements for the Senior Manager, Business Development:- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 7–10+ years of experience in aerospace composites business development, program management, or technical customer-facing roles.
- Strong knowledge of composite materials, processes, and manufacturing methods.
- Demonstrated success capturing and managing composite program awards with aerospace OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers.
- Excellent negotiation, technical communication, and executive relationship management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced, production- and qualification-focused environments.
