Position Summary
The Site Engineer Manager will provide leadership to the Facilities, Maintenance, and Process Engineering team. As an exempt level position, the manager will drive day‑to‑day process and building enhancements by collaborating with the site’s facilities, maintenance, and process engineering team. This includes productivity improvements, project management, uptime improvement, and designing, managing, and improving manufacturing processes to ensure products are made efficiently, safely, and with high quality.
The manager will work closely with operations, quality, and capital project engineers.
- Collaborate with the Operations team to provide process engineering support to develop and sustain quality products for customers.
- Work closely with internal and external subject matter experts on the implementation of innovative approaches to plant operation and maintenance.
- Leverage Performance Excellence methods to establish goals, objectives, and KPIs for plant engineering functions and capital project management.
- Display an ability to lead, develop, support safety efforts, and promote a safety culture of continuous improvement.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and development for process engineers, facilities, and maintenance through coaching, collaboration, and training sessions.
- Collaborate with the Capex Engineering team to develop, execute, and manage capital projects that exceed 5M USD.
- Ensure stewardship of viable capital projects from inception through validation.
- Provide effective management of personnel and resources to balance schedules, budgets, and scope/quality of projects under the guidance of the Capital Engineers based on project dollar value.
- Provide oversight of equipment and contractor personnel day to day and during project execution by working in the field.
- Communicate project activities and key metrics to managers and stakeholders.
- Develop requests for proposals, equipment sizing, equipment utility lists, detail P&IDs, and other front‑end engineering tasks.
- Proactively participate in safety, environmental, quality, and production processes to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Develop short‑term and long‑term strategy for the Maintenance and Facilities team.
- Develop short‑term and long‑term building improvement plans.
- Maintain awareness of industry trends and investigate means to improve, implement, and manage projects, capturing lessons learned and developing best practices for compliance with engineering standards and internal procedures.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work‑related experience required.
- Minimum five years of process engineering experience preferred.
- Minimum three years of maintenance and/or facilities experience preferred.
- Strong commitment and leadership in safety systems.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to plan priorities effectively, including capital planning assistance.
- Proficient in mentoring, training, and development of colleagues.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for coordination, training, and reporting.
- Ability to use independent judgment to solve problems, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and strive for continuous improvement.
- Ability to achieve and track excellence using performance‑driven metrics and continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, TPM.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of CMMS and enterprise management systems.

- High‑noise manufacturing processes may reach or exceed 85 decibels, requiring hearing protection.
- Lift and transport materials and equipment up to 40 pounds frequently, up to 50 pounds occasionally, and up to 55 pounds overhead. Lifting over 50 pounds is rare; assistance is encouraged for heavier loads.
- Move by stooping, bending, kneeling or squatting frequently. May require prolonged sitting or standing.
- Operate equipment or diagnose issues at different heights, which may involve work on ladders, scaffolding, or other heights.
