Civil Engineering Co-op

Viox & Viox is hiring a civil engineering co-op to come join our team in Erlanger, KY! Be a part of a civil engineering, land surveying, landscape architecture, and planning firm with over 80 years of experience.

Viox & Viox is a family-owned consulting firm, with approximately 40 team members, specializing in civil engineering, land surveying, landscape architecture, and planning. For over 80 years, Viox & Viox has provided design services for commercial, residential, industrial, and municipal projects all around the Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati region. Our clients include public entities such as cities, counties, townships, and utility companies, as well as private developers such as home builders and large commercial/ industrial development companies.

Viox & Viox is seeking a talented and motivated civil engineering co-op who is ready to dive into a variety of projects. This position promises that no two days will be alike.

• Assist with the preparation of site plans, grading plans, utility plans, erosion control plans, and other construction documents
• Prepare and revise CAD drawings and exhibits under the direction of engineers and designers
• Perform basic engineering calculations and quantity takeoffs
• Assist with permit applications, technical reports, and project submittals
• Attend site visits and observe construction activities
• Participate in project meetings, bid openings, and pre-construction meetings
• Collaborate with engineers, surveyors, CAD designers, and project managers
• Learn local regulations, permitting processes, and engineering standards
• Gain exposure to surveying and construction practices

Required

• Enrollment in an accredited Civil Engineering or related degree program
• Interest in civil/site design and willingness to learn
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

Preferred

• Basic computer skills and familiarity with AutoCAD or similar CAD software
• Prior internship, co-op, or field experience in engineering, construction, or surveying.
• Coursework in surveying, CAD, hydrology/hydraulics, transportation, or construction materials.
• Valid driver’s license.
