Senior Specialist - Architecture

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced OnPrem and Cloud Network Administrator with expertise in Network Security firewalls, proxies, load balancers, cyber security, Cisco switches, routers, SDN, MPLS, wireless access points, controllers, IPAM solutions, and Solar Winds monitoring tool to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing network infrastructure both on premises and in the cloud.

This role requires a deep understanding of network systems, security protocols, and the ability to troubleshoot and optimize performance.

• Manage and maintain network infrastructure in both on premises and cloud environments
• Monitor network performance, ensure availability and reliability
• Implement and manage network security measures including firewalls, proxies, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems
• Configure and manage load balancers to ensure optimal distribution of network traffic
• Manage and configure Cisco switches, routers, and wireless access points/controllers
• Implement and manage Software Defined Networking (SDN) solutions
• Oversee MPLS network configurations and maintenance
• Implement and manage IP Address Management (IPAM) solutions
• Utilize Solar Winds monitoring tool for network performance and issue resolution
• Perform regular network updates, patches, and security configurations
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to support application deployment and maintenance
• Automate routine network tasks using scripting languages such as Python or Power Shell
• Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures
• Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues
• Document network configurations, processes and procedures
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
• 7‑10 years of experience in network administration
• Expertise in network security including firewalls, proxies, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems
• Proficiency in managing network infrastructure in both on premises and cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and services (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP)
• Experience with Cisco switches, routers and wireless access points/controllers
• Familiarity with SDN and MPLS technologies
• Experience with IPAM solutions
• Proficiency with Solar Winds monitoring tool
• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Power Shell)

• Relevant certifications (CCNA, CCNP, AWS Certified Advanced Networking, etc.)
• Experience with cloud migration projects
• Knowledge of network monitoring tools (Solar Winds, Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus)
• Experience with network automation tools
• Expertise in cyber security best practices and protocols
