Overview
We are seeking an experienced Service Now ITOM Architect with 8+ years of Service Now experience to lead the design, architecture, implementation, and optimization of Service Now IT Operations Management (ITOM) solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Service Now ITOM modules, cloud and infrastructure management, discovery, service mapping, event management, and CMDB governance. This role requires strong technical leadership, stakeholder management, and the ability to design scalable enterprise solutions aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Design and architect end-to-end Service Now ITOM solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and alignment with organizational goals.
- Lead the implementation and enhancement of Service Now ITOM modules, including:
- Discovery
- Service Mapping
- Event Management
- Cloud Management
- Operational Intelligence
- CMDB
- Establish and maintain CMDB governance, data quality standards, and configuration management best practices.
- Develop architecture roadmaps and technical strategies for Service Now platform expansion.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, network, cloud, security, and application teams to gather requirements and implement solutions.
- Design and implement integrations between Service Now and third-party monitoring, cloud, and enterprise systems.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers, administrators, and implementation teams.
- Conduct architecture reviews, solution assessments, and performance optimization activities.
- Support platform upgrades, releases, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with Service Now best practices, governance standards, and security requirements.
- Participate in client and stakeholder meetings, providing strategic recommendations and technical guidance.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience with the Service Now platform.
- Extensive experience architecting and implementing Service Now ITOM solutions in enterprise environments.
- Strong expertise in:
- Discovery
- Service Mapping
- Event Management
- CMDB Design and Governance
- MID Server Architecture
- Infrastructure Monitoring Integrations
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL processes and IT Service Management practices.
- Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, integrations, and automation frameworks.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, Service Now scripting, Flow Designer, and Integration Hub.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Certification:
- Service Now Certified Implementation Specialist – ITOM (CIS-ITOM)
- Service Now Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or Certified Master Architect (preferred)
- Experience with AIOps, Observability, and enterprise monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, App Dynamics, Solar Winds, or Nagios.
