- Process customs entries and related government agency interfaces.
- Adhere to service level requirements per client SOP.
- Prepare and submit entries according to client SOP and relevant regulations.
- Prioritize work based on ETA, product service level, workflow processes, last free day and transportation mode.
- Classify entries per client SOP, Parts Database, or guidance from licensed customs broker/classification specialist.
- Enter shipment and customs data into the brokerage system.
- Work proactively with government agencies and customs authorities to resolve issues.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written.
- Working knowledge of OGA’s – FDA, FCC, USDA, FWS, etc.
- High level of customer service orientation.
- Familiarity with customs regulations.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Ability to adapt to new software easily.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
- 3–5 years of experience as an entry writer.
- Customs broker license preferred but not required.
- Fluent reading, writing and speaking in English.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Expected base pay: $20.50–$27.75 hourly. Actual compensation will be determined by experience, location, and other business factors.
