Key Responsibilities
Inventory Control & Execution

Lead all inventory control activities to achieve and sustain best-in-class accuracy, compliance, and efficiency

Own inventory accuracy end to end, from physical product flow to system representation

Plan and execute cycle counts, physical inventories, location audits, and reconciliations, using results to drive corrective actions

Personally model inventory control best practices by being present on the floor, validating processes, and supporting the team during critical activities

Oversee inventory readiness and execution during warehouse moves, expansions, or transitions, ensuring zero-loss mindset and system continuity

Metrics, Analysis & Systems

Use inventory metrics as a primary management tool, including accuracy, adjustments, count variance, and SLA adherence

Prepare, analyze, and present inventory KPIs; clearly communicate trends, risks, and improvement plans to leadership

Lead root cause analysis for shortages, overages, and systemic errors

Own the integrity of inventory data within WMS and ERP systems, ensuring transactions, locations, and statuses are accurate and timely

Leverage systems (WMS, ERP, RFID, reporting tools) to improve visibility, accountability, and decision-making

Leadership & Team Development

Supervise, train, and develop inventory control staff through clear expectations, coaching, and accountability

Lead by example by demonstrating attention to detail, urgency, and adherence to standards

Build a culture where the team understands why accuracy matters, not just how to execute tasks

Provide ongoing performance feedback tied directly to measurable inventory outcomes

Cross-Functional Partnership

Partner closely with receiving, shipping, operations, and supply chain teams to resolve inventory issues and prevent recurrence

Support and optimize RFID inventory tracking, including implementation, audits, and accuracy validation

Manage overseas inbound inventory flows, ensuring compliance with strict SLAs, documentation requirements, and receiving standards

Ensure proper product slotting, labeling, and storage to support operational efficiency and safety

Continuous Improvement & Compliance

Develop, document, and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices

Lead continuous improvement initiatives that reduce errors, improve system accuracy, and increase productivity

Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and audit requirements

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred

3–6 years of inventory control experience in a warehouse or distribution environment

3-5 years of supervisory or management experience

Strong understanding of inventory management principles, and warehouse operations

Hands-on experience with WMS/ERP systems; strong Excel and reporting skills required

Demonstrated ability to investigate discrepancies, analyze data, and implement corrective actions

Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence through action, not just direction

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and analytical problem solver

Experience & Skills

Experience supporting warehouse moves, start-ups, or network transitions

Hands-on experience with RFID-based inventory systems

Overseas inbound logistics experience with rigid SLA management

Ownership of advanced cycle counting programs
