- 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM, Monday
- Friday, $18.75/hr - 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM, Sunday
- Thursday (Requires 2 mandatory weekends), $19/hr
The Box Maker is responsible for assembling, inspecting, and supplying corrugated boxes to ensure safe, continuous, and efficient packaging operations across the production floor. Reporting directly to the Packaging Supervisor, this role requires physical stamina, consistency, and a strict commitment to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and workplace safety.
Job SpecificationsKey Responsibilities
- Box Assembly & Supply: Hand-assemble corrugated boxes according to production specifications and supply them to active packaging lines in a timely manner.
- Quality Inspection: Inspect boxes for structural integrity, proper labeling, and overall quality compliance.
- Sanitation & Area Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized work area in strict accordance with GMP standards, which includes general facility cleaning and tidying across different production zones.
- Regulatory Compliance: Follow all corporate safety, food safety, and quality policies. Regularly wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adhere to plant hygiene and dress code standards.
- Reporting: Promptly identify and report damaged materials, faulty machinery, or physical safety concerns to the Packaging Supervisor.
- Production Support: Assist with adjacent packaging or production tasks on the floor as assigned.
Must Have Skills / Requirements
- Physical Stamina:
- Ability to consistently lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. repeatedly.
- Capability to stand for extended periods while executing frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and twisting.
- Core Literacy: Basic math and counting skills, alongside the ability to interpret and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Operational Adaptability: Willingness to work in a highly repetitive, fast-paced manufacturing environment that requires ongoing patience and focus.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Prior manufacturing, warehousing, or production packaging experience.
- Foundational familiarity operating within food, beverage, or ingredient manufacturing environments.
Working Conditions
- Active production plant subject to noise, dust, odors, and indoor temperature variations.
- Mandatory use of company-provided PPE (safety shoes, hair/beard nets, hearing protection, eye protection, lab coats, and bump caps).
Education & Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent practical experience preferred.
