Position Overview

Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) Machinist – VTL Operator

Location:

Erlanger, KY Service Center (onsite)

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 6:45AM–3:15PM (optional weekend work)

• Set up and operate CNC Vertical Turret Lathes
• Read CNC programs and edit them to maximize efficiency and reduce errors
• Read and interpret engineered blue‑print drawings
• Apply geometric tolerances and set up inspection tools (inner/outer diameter micrometers, calipers, Pi‑tape, bore gauges, tri‑mic, thread gauges, etc.)
• Machine to tolerances of 0.0005”–0.005”
• Determine optimal machining feeds, speeds, and tool selections
• Work collaboratively with the team to ensure on‑time delivery to customers

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 5 years CNC machining experience (preferred)
• Experience with VTL that uses live tooling (plus)
• Knowledge of Fanuc controls (plus)
• Proficiency with shop math, trigonometry and geometry
• Ability to follow safety rules and wear PPE
• Strong problem‑solving skills in standardized situations
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Ownership and accountability mindset
• Comfortable working in a lean, fast‑paced environment

Pay: $36.00 per hour. Geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
