CNC Lathe Operator

Location: Erlanger, Kentucky

Shift: 4 day work week, Monday-Thursday 3 pm to 1 am!

Pay: $21-$25 based off experience.

Our Client in Erlanger, Kentucky is seeking a skilled and dependable CNC Lathe Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathe machines to produce precision parts that meet quality and specification standards.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to produce parts to specification
  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
  • Perform tool changes, offsets, and basic machine adjustments
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
  • Ensure all parts meet required tolerances and quality standards
  • Troubleshoot minor machining issues and elevate major concerns as needed
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records when required
  • Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and operational guidelines
  • Keep work area clean, organized, and free of hazards
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Previous CNC lathe machining experience preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Familiarity with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work the assigned schedule
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
  • Ability to lift materials up to 40–50 lbs as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with G-code editing or programming
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices
  • Experience in a high-volume production environment
