Salary Range: $20.00 To $22.00 Hourly

The Coater Operator loads, unloads, tests, and operates the Spartanic Punch in the KEM department to support production of playing cards. The role ensures deck integrity, proper registration, and adherence to operating instructions.

• Operate, clean and troubleshoot the KEM punch
• Conduct deck integrity inspections
• Load KEM sheets in the punch
• Inspect sheets as they exit the machine for proper registration
• Operate the machine controls in accordance with operating instructions
• Update maintenance and management of any machine or department abnormalities
• Keep work areas clean and orderly in accordance with 5S standards
• Complete production logs and perform system documentation
• Review with lead person work to be performed
• Comply with documentation such as the follower and schedule
• All duties assigned by KEM Lead and management

• Minimum 2 to 5 years of machine operation experience
• Prior printing experience preferred
• High School diploma or equivalent work experience
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• High attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures and guidelines
• Ability to quickly identify production and quality problems
• Ability to work well with others and cooperate with team members and leadership

• Sitting at workstation as little as 20% of work time; standing and walking as much as 80% depending on assignment
• Lift / push / pull up to 50 pounds
• Twist, reach, squat, and bend
• Reach, grasp, and manipulate objects
• Full color vision
• Involves moderate risks or discomforts and safety precautions (moving parts, pallets, trucks, machines)
