Job Description Summary
The Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) Machinist will work at the Erlanger, KY Service Center to service and manufacture large scale power generation equipment and their subassemblies by following blueprints and specific work instructions.
Job DescriptionAs the CNC Machinist you will:
- Work in a shop environment safely with zero accidents and/or injuries
- Set up and operate various CNC machine tools – horizontal and vertical mills
- Read CNC programs; be familiar with G & M codes
- Make minor edits to CNC programs
- Read and interpret engineered blue‑print drawings
- Understand and apply geometric tolerances
- Set up and safely use various inspection tools and gauges (e.g., I/D & O/D micrometers, calipers, Pi‑tape, bore gauges, tri‑micrometers, thread gauges, etc.)
- Machine to required tolerances of .001” – .005”
- Determine machining feeds, speeds, and tool selections
- Work effectively with team to ensure successful delivery to customer
