Job Description

The Quality Control Inspector will ensure that all quality standards are achieved for both manufactured and purchased products. The role provides the final point of inspection for the materials and products, maintains reports and performance metrics, raises NCRs, and supports the problem‑resolution process including containment, root‑cause analysis, and corrective and preventive actions.

The candidate must possess the ability to solve simple problems, provide workable solutions, and act with minimal direction on their own initiative.

The candidate will work within the Fabrication team and report directly to the Manufacturing Supervisor.

Responsibilities
  • Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications; conduct visual and measurement tests; reject and return unacceptable materials.
  • Approve in‑process production by confirming specifications; conduct visual and measurement tests; communicate required adjustments to production.
  • Approve finished products by confirming specifications; conduct visual and measurement tests; return products for re‑work; confirm re‑work.
  • Document inspection results by completing reports and logs.
  • Keep measurement equipment operating and manage calibration systems.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards, procedures, and legal regulations.
  • Audit manufacturing processes where required.
  • Complete Non‑Conforming Reports with root‑cause analysis.
  • Provide training and guidance to inspectors using best practice.
Qualifications and Experience Levels
  • 7+ years of fabrication experience.
  • Blueprint reading.
  • Certified Weld Inspector – preferred.
  • Proven experience as a quality inspector or in a relevant role.
  • A keen eye for detail and a results‑driven approach.
  • Familiarity with quality measurement equipment.
  • Thorough knowledge of quality control standards and inspection methodologies.
  • Dedication to safety procedures while operating equipment.
  • Solid computer skills – SAP preferred.

Pay Transparency

The pay for this position is $28.00 USD per hour. The specific pay offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
