Become a key player as a Machinist - CMM Programmer. You will develop and run CMM inspection programs that ensure parts meet engineering and customer requirements, directly supporting production, quality, and engineering stakeholders on the 2nd shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM). This is an onsite role where your work enables timely first-article, in-process, and final inspections to maintain product conformance and drive continuous improvement.
Here's how you'll make an impact on the team:
- Develop, validate, and optimize CMM programs using PC-DMIS, Polyworks, Camio, or equivalent software
- Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, specifications, and customer requirements to create inspection routines
- Set up and operate CMM equipment to perform dimensional inspections on machined, fabricated, and assembled components
- Execute first article, in-process, final, and receiving inspections and generate inspection reports
- Verify calibration status of inspection equipment and maintain proper records
- Troubleshoot programming and measurement discrepancies and communicate nonconformances to Quality, Engineering, and Production
- Support root cause investigations, corrective actions, internal/customer audits, and quality improvement initiatives
- Recommend process improvements to increase inspection efficiency and product quality
Here's what you'll need to be successful in this role:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong metrology knowledge and experience operating CMM equipment
- Proficiency with CMM programming software (PC-DMIS, Polyworks, Camio, or equivalent)
- Solid understanding and application of GD&T per ASME Y14.5
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and CAD models
- Experience executing first article, in-process, and final inspections
