What do Commercial Pest Control Technicians do?

The primary purpose of this role is to perform industry‑leading pest management services for commercial customers. You will be responsible for identifying and eliminating pests from commercial properties by conducting thorough inspections, determining the type of pest infestation, applying appropriate treatments such as pesticides and traps, and providing preventative measures to prevent future infestations while adhering to safety regulations and communicating solutions to clients.

• Conduct thorough inspections of client properties to identify signs of pest infestations, damage, and entry points.
• Apply approved pest control products, including chemicals, baits, and traps, to effectively eliminate pests while adhering to safety standards.
• Educate customers on pest prevention methods and the importance of maintaining a pest‑free environment.
• Provide advice on how to reduce the risk of future infestations.
• Build relationships with customers, schedule and confirm appointments, and assist with sales to existing customers while expanding the product base to new customers.
• Maintain, stock, and ensure all pest control equipment is in good working condition.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding pest control products and safety protocols.
• Operate the company‑provided service vehicle safely and participate in routine maintenance.
• Work in tight, confined spaces such as basements, attics, crawl spaces, narrow aisles, or passageways.
• Handle mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights, scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals safely under training.
• Work inside and outside in local climate conditions wearing company‑provided weather gear.
• Perform physical tasks such as sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and using stairs, ladders, scaffolds, ramps, and poles.
• Wear personal protective equipment, including an OSHA‑compliant respirator.

• Clean shaven face for safe use of rebreathers.
• High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver’s license from the state of residence.
• Availability to work Monday‑Friday and Saturdays as needed.
• Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills; ability to present information internally and externally.
• Basic math skills – addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to follow instructions for mixing products as indicated on labels.
• Required licenses/certificates covered by the company as per federal, state, and local regulations.
• Customer‑facing experience preferred.
