Maintenance Technician
The Maintenance Technician maintains, repairs, and improves mechanical and electrical equipment, with a strong focus on welding, robotics, and automation systems. This role ensures that production and facility equipment operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime through proactive maintenance and effective troubleshooting.
Responsibilities- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with machinery, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and robotic systems.
- Conduct repairs on production equipment, automation systems, and robotics to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
- Use welding skills to repair, modify, and fabricate components and structures as needed for equipment maintenance.
- Inspect and test equipment regularly to identify potential problems and implement corrective actions before failures occur.
- Support the installation, setup, and commissioning of new machinery, automation equipment, and robotics.
- Read and interpret technical documentation, such as equipment manuals, schematics, and diagrams, to guide maintenance and repair activities.
- Work closely with operations and production teams to respond quickly to equipment issues and prioritize maintenance tasks.
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage accurately to support ongoing reliability and continuous improvement.
- Follow safety procedures and best practices while working with electrical systems, mechanical equipment, and tools.
- Hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance and repair of industrial or production equipment.
- Practical electrical maintenance skills, including working with motors, control panels, and automation components.
- Strong troubleshooting ability across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and robotic systems.
- Experience with welding for equipment repair, modification, and fabrication.
- Knowledge of robotics and automation systems, including basic setup, maintenance, and fault-finding.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
- Solid understanding of safety practices when working with electrical and mechanical systems.
- Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Skills & Qualifications
- Background in both electrical and mechanical disciplines or mechatronics.
- Exposure to industrial automation, robotics, or advanced manufacturing environments.
- Comfort working in a service-oriented role, supporting production teams and responding to equipment issues.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with colleagues and report maintenance activities clearly.

The position may involve standing for extended periods, working around moving machinery, and occasionally accessing confined or elevated areas, while following established safety procedures and wearing appropriate protective equipment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Erlanger, KY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 - $34.00/hr.
