The purpose of the Federal Work-Study Program is to give a student an opportunity to develop skills, gain on-the-job experience for future employment, and give the student flexibility to work around class schedules.
Minimum Qualifications- Must be a Bay College student in the work study program to be considered for this position.
- Eligibility for work-study is determined after you file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
- Work-study requires that you are enrolled for a minimum of six credits that apply toward the semester you are employed.
- You must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress.

Work HoursAverage 10-15 hours per week, dependent upon your work study award.
SupervisionWorks under the direction of the AV Technical Coordinator.
Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentWork environment: exposed to weather conditions; noise level moderate to loud in equipment areas.
Physical demands: stand; move around the Center; sit; use hands; reach; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Vision requirements: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth, adjust focus.
Job Duties- Assist in the set-up of lighting/sound/set dressing/AV for Besse Center Theater events.
- Provide operational support for lighting/sound/set dressing/AV during Besse Center Theater events.
- Assist in maintenance of theatrical systems.
- Assist in the set-up of AV equipment for events throughout the campus.
- Maintain safe, orderly, and clean facilities during events.
- Assist as the on-site contact for Bay College clients before, during, and after events to ensure audio-visual needs are met positively.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Community Events and Marketing Coordinator and the AV Technical Coordinator.
